for FLIX!


FLIX - the modular furniture system designed for the British company Hitch Mylius - received a special mention in the German Design Awards!

FLIX is a flexible seating system that is compact and soft, which works for both formal and informal spaces today, offering multiple and single seating options. With a minimum of components it is possible to create a range of configurations for office, hospitality and co-working environments, see more

Lamps of the Modern


A number of unknown designs by Wilhelm Wagenfeld are reinterpreted by contemporary designers. Ineke looked at Deckenleuchte M-Typ 4. 
All lights, including the Wagenfelds, are realized and presented at glashütte Gernheim. The exhibition will travel in the upcoming year: Stadtmuseum Jena/Germany (2019/20) Glass Museum Riihimäki/Finland (2020).

Bauhaus Archiv &
New Grounds


Next to her studio Ineke started the professorship Design & Social Context at the University of the Arts in Berlin in October 2017. The contents of her classes are very much related to the outcomes of the London Salons that she organised in 2015-2017.

This winter semester her students worked on the project New Grounds that started with a workshop week in the Istanbul Design Biennial / A School of Schools. From 13 February till 7 March the final results are presented in Bauhaus Archiv Berlin as part of its 'Interventions' program, see more

What Design Can Do


To complement the exhibition in Bauhaus Archiv a discussion is organised on how design can take up an active role today. Dutch designer Richard van der Laken will give an insight into the activities of the international design platform 'What Design Can Do' and new paths for design are explored.
