Johanna I
1995, upholstered stool (graduation work RCA)
The design of the Johanna stools consists of three identical legs constructed out of wood and connected together from the inside, creating a sitting surface in a minimalist way, like a pictogram. The stools, which were part of Ineke Hans’ first collection ‘Furniture as pictograms’, got a lot of interest and were produced for a number of years.
There are two versions: Johanna I, upholstered and Johana II, blowmoulded legs
collection: Crafts Council, London
